JUDGE'S INSTRUCTIONS

SCORE ENTRY - AS EASY AS 1-2-3

  1. Key the gymnast's number then press "ENTER". The heading will then show the gymnast's name, level, age and team.
You will see groups of X’s of the form:
    X.XX X.XX
  2. Key the judge’s score over the X’s. Do not key the decimal. You will see the resulting average. If the score is correct, hit "ENTER" to record the score. You have finished with the gymnast.
  3. If you made an error in keying, simply press "ESC" until you get to the point where you wish to restart.
There are provisions for different numbers of judges, for neutral deductions and for score corrections.

JUDGE’S SCORE ENTRY

When the judge enters the score, the gymnast’s name and score are immediately up in lights and the results are sent via the network to the scorer’s PC. The electronic display shows information similar to this:

The judge has a running tally of his/her most recent scores and can also request a ranking of scores.

The score entry and display are independent of any other PC on the network and continue to function even if the network is down or if the scorer’s computer is being used for another job. The judge’s PC saves the scores until the scorer’s PC is ready to accept them.

WHY NET-SCORE RESULTS ARE ERROR FREE.

NET-SCORE's ease of judges score entry and technique for keeping everyone informed concerning scores with the verification of the gymnasts name makes the reports and awards error free. The Judge is limited to entering scores for his/her own event and to gymnasts in the current session. If an error is made in keying the wrong gymnast number, everyone sees the error, the Judge is informed and the problem is corrected at the Judge's station. The Judge can additionally review the scores as they are entered.

All the NET-SCORE computer operator has to do is to verify that all scores are in (check the event counts) and that no inquiries are outstanding. If those conditions are met, the awards and the meet report can be printed. No other scoring system has the NET-SCORE accuracy safeguards.
